  3. This book contains clawhammer banjo tablature for all of the Volume 1 tunes on the dumbgawednigiflotymitoprogasnews.xyzinfo website. These are known as the "old time top 20". The arrangements are very close to how I play these tunes in the recordings on the site. The banjo tuning for each is noted at the top. Chord changes appear above the tablature as they occur.

  8. Jun 05,  · For Banjo Lovers, This Is a Must This podcast is fantastic for those who love to listen to the old-time and frailing/clawhammer styles of the banjo. The songs range from fast and tapping-inducing to mellow and relaxing. Inspirational and heart-lifting, I can't recommend this podcast (or Banjo Hangout) enough.
  9. Adam Hurt is a virtuoso. I like Earthtones, he plays on a gourd banjo. But all his albums are good. Any of the older Carolina Chocolate Drops albums. Ralph Stanley is great. I think he has an album called "Clawhammer Songs" or something like that. My all time favorite would have to be the recordings of Clarence Ashley and Doc Watson playing.
